In addition our Chaplaincy Team serves to meet the needs of our congregation.
I invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a Chaplain. It is a unique service that differs from many of the other volunteer opportunities in terms of the level of commitment and responsibilities. The following information is provided as a basic introduction to the concept of how it works.

What is a Unity Chaplain?

A Unity Chaplain Is:
* Someone who is there to support you on your spiritual journey.
* Someone who will create and hold a sacred space with you.
* Someone who will listen to you and hold what is heard in the  strictest confidence.

* Someone who will pray with you.

How does a Unity Chaplain differ from a Chaplain in a hospital or care facility?
Unlike hospital chaplains, Unity Chaplains are not ordained and are not trained to counsel people. Unity Chaplains are trained to do three things only: to hold spiritual space, to listen and to pray. Unity Chaplains are not trained to go out and “minister” to the community at large
but are trained as a lay resource to help meet the pastoral care needs of our own congregation.
How do I find out more information?
If the Unity Chaplain opportunity resonates with you and feels like an opportunity you would like to explore further, please plan to attend a Chaplain Orientation/Information session
This Orientation is mandatory for all those who ultimately do decide to become a Unity Chaplain. Please note that the training schedule is provided so that you can update your — Calendar as all of the training is mandatory to be a Unity Chaplain.
